Sun Jianguo
Professor of Wushu (East China Normal University)
Internationally recognized Wushu instructor and judge.

Sun studied Wushu (Chinese martial arts including Taiji Quan), Qigong and Tuina (Chinese Massage-Techniques) at Shanghai's Institute of Physical Education, Jiaotong University and the Second Medical College, as well as the Wuhan-Sportscollege. After his graduation, he worked as a lecturer of Wushu and Qigong at Shanghai's East China Normal University for more than 20 years.

His most important and inspiring mentors are the Wushu icon Cai Longyun (9th Dan = highest grade of martial arts), Gu Liuxin who was one of the great Taiji- theoreticians of the last century - , Qiu Pixiang (9th Dan) who at present is chairman of the Chinese national judges-committee of Wushu - ,Liu Yuhua (9th Dan) and Wen Jingmin, who had been both sent to Germany in the 1930ies, being two out of nine martial artists from whole China, who were chosen to perform and introduce Chinese Wushu to this country. Then, there was Xu Jingming who taught Sun Nan Quan, and finally Wang Peikun (8th Dan) who, together with Prof. Cai und Prof. Qiu, holds the title of being one of China's 10 most famous Professors of Wushu.

After his arrival in Germany in 1995, he founded the WuYuan-Wushu-School in Munich in 1996, together with his wife Caroline Roblitschka. Finally he was also nominated by the DWF (German Wushu Federation) as technical director of Wushu as well as Germany's south-base-instructor coaching Germany's Wushu national team.

In 1998 Jianguo Sun was honoured by the Chinese Wushu Association in Beijing for his contributions to the globalization of Wushu. In the same year he also got the 7th Dan of Wushu. Together Mr Sun Genfa (7th Dan) from Lyon/France and Mr Zhu Shaofan (6th Dan) from St. Gallen/ Switzerland he is nominated by the Chinese Wushu Association as official representative of Wushu in Europe.


Caroline Roblitschka
Sinologist, M.A.
First western doctorate student of Wushu

In 1990 she starts with her studies of Sinology at the University of Munich.

1991-92 she got a DAAD-scholarship for studying Chinese, Chinese culture etc. at Shanghai's East China Normal University, PR China.

In 1992 she starts with a general education of Chinese Wushu (mainly Taiji Quan) at Shanghai's East China Normal University, under the supervision of Wushu-Professor Jianguo Sun.

In 1994 she finished her general Wushu education at Shanghai's East China Normal University and then she completed a one-term-study about Asian culture at the Aichi Kyoiku Daigaku in Nagoya, Japan.

In 1996 she founded the WuYuan Wushu School in Munich together with her husband Jianguo Sun. Afterwards she graduated from the University of Munich, majoring in Sinology (Chinese culture). (Graduation thesis: "Aspects of Taiji-Quan in contemporary China"). In 1995 she took part in an advanced training of Wushu (Taiji) in Shanghai.

In 1998 she took part in an advanced training of Wushu (animal styles) at Shanghai's Institute of Physical Education.

In 2000 she took part in the theoretical and practical Wushu training course organized by the Chinese Wushu Association in Beijing finally getting the 4th Dan of Wushu.

In 2001 she had the privilege of becoming the first Western student to join the graduate program in Chinese Wushu at a Chinese university, the Shanghai Institute of Physical Education. She's writing her dissertation under the supervision of renowned Wushu professor Qiu Pixiang, and China's Wushu icon Cai Longyun is supporting and helping her with her research as well. Taiji-grandmaster She Xueqin (former intimate student of Fu Zhongwen and Gu Liuxin, and further nominee for direct Wu-style representative by He Shaoru) also teaches, supports and promotes Caroline Roblitschka with great carefulness.
Up to now, Roblitschka already took part in several national and international competitions where she mostly became either champion or runner up.
Since 1997 Roblitschka has been working for various institutions as a teacher of Taijiquan and Qigong.
