WuYuan - school of martial arts

The WuYuan - school of martial arts was founded in München in may 1996 by Jianguo Sun and Caroline Roblitschka. It is the school's goal to offer an institutional setting for the correct teaching of Chinese martial arts, Taiji and Qigong on a level that is equivalent to a comparable Chinese institution. What is important to reach this goal are highly qualified teachers and classes in sufficiently small groups, and, besides that the considerate selection of learning levels for each student and the students' continuous participation in the classes.
The WuYuan-school strives to be a place where people with a shared interest in "Wushu" come together to work for their health, well-being and to train their bodies and minds.
The WuYuan-school is supported by well known Chinese grandmasters like Cai Longyun and Qiu Pixiang. Additionally, it works in close cooperation with the Shanghai University of Sport and the East China Normal University in Shanghai.

Wu, directly translated from Chinese, means "martial" and refers to the "fighting ability and technique." The term was originally used in the military. "Wu" is also part of "Wushu" (= the Chinese official designation for all martial arts).

Yuan may be translated as "predestined affinity," the kind of fate that brings people together.

WuYuan thus refers to a setting where people come together through their common interest in Wushu.
